I was there that day; I lived in the Far West Village, two blocks from the river and 20 blocks away from the Towers. You could see it unfold from the end of my street. I've not been able to view photos of that day until now - likely because the moments that you portray were captured by people like me, whose lives were profoundly changed that day and in the days that followed.
